My name is Jill Brunner. As many of you may know I grew up on a farm and ranch outside of Lost Springs. I am a 1995 graduate of Centre High School and I am super excited to be back at Centre as a counselor. Go Cougars! I will be commuting to Centre every day as I live in the country outside of Council Grove. My twelve year old son, Tucker, will be a 7th grader at Council Grove Middle School and will be playing middle school football! Go Braves! My fiancé, Lance works for Penny's Concrete and we are planning an October 19th wedding. In our house we eat, sleep and breathe football so we are very excited about this coming football season with Tucker playing for the Braves! We will also cheer the cougars and the cats on to victories on the football field! Another passion of ours is being outdoors. We enjoy hunting and fishing with our Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Hercules. Even at 90 pounds he is still a puppy so he requires a lot of attention.
Right now I am pursuing my Masters Degree in School Counseling from Emporia State University. Stingers Up! However I come from a long line of Wildcats in my family and am a wildcat through and through. EMAW! I am very proud to say that I hold two bachelor degrees from Kansas State. One in Early Childhood Education and the other in Elementary Education. I also have my English as a Second Language certification from KSU. With this certification I have been teaching in the Emporia School District as an ESL teacher for the past six years. This move to Centre is one great adventure back home that I look forward to!
