Hello! My name is Kim Smith. I have been teaching school for 16 years! I received a regular education degree from Kansas State University in 1990. I taught third grade for one year in Louisiana. Being a Kansas girl I had the time of my life with the new culture! I came back to Kansas and received another degree in Special Education from Kansas Wesleyan University in 1995. I stayed in Salina and taught for four years in a special education classroom. Today I am happy to live and work in the Centre School District! It is so much fun to know the kids and families I work with each day.
Every child has inside him an aching void for excitement and if we don't fill it with something which is exciting and interesting and good for him, he will fill it with something which is exciting and interesting and which isn't good for him.
