Dear Centre Parents and Guardians,

We have been working diligently to make this the best school year for students, parents and staff. As we have been talking as a District Leadership Team, we would like to have your feedback on which model you and your child would like to use this semester. The attached survey will give you an opportunity to decide which model is best for your student and how you can be involved in the planning process through stakeholder meetings.

In the survey you will be deciding between three models:

ON CAMPUS/FACE TO FACE LEARNING: On campus with the traditional instruction model. Safety measures are followed as outlined by the executive order.

REMOTE LEARNING: 6 hours of daily participation by the student in learning activities, 9 week commitment for all grades; Daily participation by the student through teacher initiated contact; Daily remote learning log completion; Participation in the same assessments as students who are attending school in-person.

VIRTUAL PROGRAM: Centre's Kansas Online Learning Program (KOLP) kansasonlinelearning.org - Grades K-5 is a 1 yr. commitment, Grades 6-12 a semester commitment; this program is offered by our own virtual teaching staff. Before considering an alternative virtual program, contact KOLP at kansasonlinelearning.org for early enrollment.

We appreciate your response on the survey so that we can plan on how to best serve instruction to your child(ren). The survey is due on July 29, 2020. Stakeholder meetings will be scheduled following receipt of the survey and learning what time works best for parents. Please know that we are working rigorously to provide the safest environment and best possible education for your child(ren). We plan on releasing more information as our plan becomes more defined. Please keep watching our Facebook page, school website, and app for more information about the school year.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding,

Susan Beeson, Superintendent and K-5 Principal
