RNR and Budget Hearing

BOE Special Meeting-Board Goals-August 19, 2025-7:00 P.M.

USD 397 has been notified that there will be a construction project beginning next week on 290th from Lincolnville west to Remington (Pilsen Road). There is not yet an estimate of how long the project will last. Please plan accordingly as school starts. Our transportation department is aware and will determine the best alternate bus routes for Tampa: Lincolnville East, Pilsen and Antelope routes.

Centre School enrollment is open in Skyward. It will only be open until August 14. If you have not enrolled your children, please do so by the 14th. Preschoolers will need to be enrolled as well. If you are having trouble accessing your Skyward Family account or have other questions, please call the school office at 785-983-4321. We would be glad to help you through the process. Also, please remember that school fees are due in full on or before the first day of school.

As the first day of practice approaches on August 18, this is a friendly reminder to get in student physicals by August 15!

The fall team store is open! This includes gear for cross country, football, and volleyball. Also included is some regular Centre shirts as well. This store is a team sprint store in which products will be printed and shipped within 1-2 business days.

The store will close August 21!

4th Annual School Supply give away

Hello Everyone! The Marion County Fair Parade will be on Wednesday, July 23rd starting at 6:00pm on the main street of Hillsboro. Be sure to wave hello at the PAT entry in the parade! After the parade, come down to the Marion County Fairgrounds in Hillsboro and look for the PAT booth where we will have a Storywalk, farm sensory bin, and a take home surprise for your little ones! See you at the Fair!

Back to School Jamboree

The first HS football workouts will be next Thursday and Friday, July 10 and 11, from 7:00-8:30 pm. Team camp will be July 14-16 at 7:00 pm. The ESU team camp will be on July 17. Players that are going to the ESU camp will need to pay $50, that needs to be turned in at the first workout. If you have any questions, please reach out to Coach Antosyck.

The 3-8th grade Volleyball Camp time has been rescheduled to July 14-17 5:00-7:00pm.

Today was my last official day as superintendent at Centre USD #397. It has been a great four years since coming to Centre and I would like to first of all thank the students for being great to work with. My students have always been my main focus since I started teaching way back in 1979 at Minneapolis High School. Centre has some of the greatest students I have ever worked with, and I thank them for letting me be a part of their educational journey. Secondly, I want to thank the teachers and staff at Centre. USD 397 is truly blessed with some of the finest I have ever worked with. Rarely does one find such a dedicated team of educators that work so hard to give each student the best possible opportunities to succeed. Lastly, I want to thank the patrons and parents who have let me be a part of the Centre family. Centre has a proud tradition, and I was blessed to be a part of that tradition. I know I didn't always make everyone happy, but I genuinely strived to always do what was best for our students. I am ending a wonderful 43-year educational journey that has seen heart breaks, but also an abundance of joy. Thank you again for allowing me to be a part of the Centre tradition of great education.
