Centre School enrollment is still open on Skyward. It will only be open until August 12th. If you have not enrolled your student, please do so before the first day of school. If you are having troubles accessing your Skyward Family account, please call the school office at 785-983-4321. We would be glad to help you through that process. Also please remember that school fees are due in full on or before the first day of school.

Good morning from Centre School. We would like to remind you that student enrollment is open. Go to your skyward family access to complete enrollment. We are offering assistance on Wednesday, August 4th from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM.
School fees are due on or before the first day of school and must be paid in full. If your student has money on meal accounts that you would like transferred to cover your fees or semester milk , you MUST call the school office and request that we make that transfer.
Open house is on Tuesday, August 10th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Students are encouraged to bring their school supplies . This is also a good time for those in junior high and high school to make sure that their schedules are in order so that the first day of school runs smoothly. We would love for you all to attend.
Lastly, Kay's Pharmacy in Herington has very generously offered to donate school supplies for our students who are in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We thanks them so much for this gift! If parents cannot pick up the supplies, let Mrs. K know or call the school office and we will get them picked up for you. Please keep in mind that Kay's donation goes off of the Herington school supply list, so there may be a few items that you still need to purchase for your student. A complete school supply list can be found on our school website.
Class of 2021 graduates -
Please come pick up your diplomas. Please plan on picking them up between Thursday, July 29th and Friday, August 6th. After August 6th, arrangements will need to be made prior to coming to school to pick up your diploma. Thank you!

The Jr. High Awards Night and Eighth grade Promotion is tomorrow, May 25th at 7:00 PM in the main gym. We would love to see all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade parents and students there to celebrate their successes this school year.
Due to the wet weather that we are experiencing, there are several changes that are being made for the last few days of school:
The Band and Music Concert will be held on Friday, May 21st at 6:00 PM. It will be in the main gym. Band students need to arrive at 5:30 PM to get their instruments warmed up. The rest of the students need to be in their places by 5:45 PM. The PTO will be serving root beer floats in the Perk before the concert until supplies run out.
High School Commencement is on Sunday, May 23rd at 2:00 PM. We are moving graduation inside to the main gym.
Jr. High Promotion and Awards Night is on Tuesday, May 25th at 7:00 PM. This event will take place in the main gym.
Preschool Promotion is on Tuesday, May 25th at 2:30 PM. This event will take place inside the main gym.
Kindergarten Promotion is on Wednesday, May 26th. Parents please join your students for a sack lunch at 11:30 PM. Promotion will be at 12:00 PM inside the main gym. Then join your children for Field Day at 1:00 PM.
On Wednesday, May 26th, we will have Record Breaking Day for 4th and 5th grades at 12:30 PM. Field Day for Preschool thru 3rd grade starts at 1:00 PM. (If inclement weather, Record Breaking and Field Day will be canceled.)
The Last Day Of School has been moved to Wednesday, May 26th. Students will attend a full day of school.
Centre Golf Update: Elias Jirak took 5th place at the regional meet yesterday. He will be competing at State Golf next Monday and Tuesday in Emporia. Good Luck Elias!
Correction - The Centre Record breaking day and field day has been rescheduled for May 26th, not May 25th.
Elementary Record Breaking and Field Day will be on the afternoon of May 26th.

Record Breaking Day is for 4th and 5th graders. It will begin at 12:30 PM. Field Day is for Preschool thru 3rd graders. It will begin at 1:00 PM. If the weather is still not favorable on May 25th, we will cancel the activities.

We just wanted to give everyone a heads up on possible changes! With the rain that we have already had and the forecast that is calling for more, we are going to look at the track and field conditions on Monday, along with the forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday. A decision will be made at that time on whether to proceed with the Record Breaking Day and Elementary Field Day.
