The high school basketball games that were scheduled for tonight have been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 28 at Solomon.
Due to continuing unsafe road conditions in our district, Centre, USD 397 will not have school on Wednesday, January 8th. Cougar Cubs Daycare will also be closed. All activities are also cancelled for the day.

Our school board includes Eric Carlson, President; Adriane Richard, Vice President; Michelle Hajek; Catarina Rziha; Lance Diepenbrock; Tony Hett; and Nathan Brunner. These seven individuals make crucial decisions for the students and staff at Centre. Thank you, school board leaders!

Because of roads on our bus routes not being passable, Centre USD # 397 will not have school on Tuesday, January 7th. All activities and practices are also cancelled for tomorrow. Thank you and please stay safe.
Because of the severe winter weather, we have experienced, there will be no school at Centre USD #397 Monday, January 6th. The Cougar Cub Daycare will also be closed, and all activities and practices are canceled. Please stay safe.

The Kansas Association of School Boards in coordination with the Centre School District is conducting an online survey to seek input on desired characteristics of the new superintendent. Miss Norma's junior high MTSS read 'A River in Darkness' which was a true story of a half Korean, half Japanese man who escaped from North Korea. To celebrate and appreciate each of the cultures, students enjoyed Japanese and Korea cuisine during class today. Joomi Bobbett and her son from Seoul USA Korean restaurant in Salina traveled to Centre to bring traditional Korean cuisine to share with the students. She also shared her experiences from growing up and living in South Korea before moving to the United States. Students thoroughly enjoyed this experience!
Schedule Change: With the Peabody girls not being able to field at team, we will not have a high school varsity girls game on February 14, 2025. As a make-up game, we are scheduled to play Pike Valley on January 3, 2025 at Peabody starting at 6:00PM. This is for High School Varsity Girls Only! High school boys will still be playing on February 14th at Peabody.
