The Centre Cougar Volleyball team opened their regular season tonight competing against Wichita Classical and Inman. The Lady Cougars defeated Wichita Classical in straight sets but lost to a very talented Inman team in straight sets. The ladies played extremely hard in both matches and the Centre Football team added a great cheering section for the evening.

This football season we are going to have construction going on during the entire season. The construction is on the west side of the school and will block the west entrance for football games. Therefore, we will only have one entrance for the high school football games which will be by the east side by the breeze way. If it hasn't rained and the ground is dry, you will still be able to enter through the east entrance and drive around to the home side stands.

Please Share: Summer EBT Applications Accepted Through September 11 🌻 Income-eligible families can apply to receive benefits The Kansas Department of Children and Families (DCF) has introduced the Summer EBT program to help families offset the cost of groceries for eligible school-aged children during the summer break. Summer EBT, also known as SUN Bucks in other states, is a partnership between DCF and the U.S. Department of Agriculture to ensure that children continue receiving the nutrition they need when school meals are unavailable. Families receive a total of $120 per eligible child to purchase food at grocery stores, farmers markets, and other places that accept SNAP EBT benefits. Summer EBT benefits were automatically issued in July to 117,353 eligible children whom DCF could identify in partnership with the Kansas Department of Education. Benefits were added to the household's existing Kansas Benefits Card (also known as an EBT card) or loaded onto a Kansas Benefits Card and mailed to the home. Families that did not receive Summer EBT benefits but believe they have an eligible child may apply through the DCF online self-service portal, dcfapp.kees.ks.gov. Online applications for Summer EBT will be accepted from Aug. 12 through Sept. 11, 2024. https://www.dcf.ks.gov/services/ees/Pages/Food/SummerEBT.aspx https://cssp.kees.ks.gov/apspssp/ssp.portal
