Time is running out to sign up for flag football.

Workers at Centre install one of 12 -58,000# roof sections on the new safe rooms. The addition will include Pre-K and Kindergarten rooms that will double as a FEMA-approved storm shelter and two daycare rooms. In the foreground are the new concession stand and restrooms that are also part of the project. Completion of the project is slated for late December.

Tomorrow is the first day of school for Centre USD #397. I want to take a moment to thank our amazing faculty and staff for the work they do. As I continue to see districts throughout the state still trying to find faculty and staff to fill open positions, it reminds me how blessed we are to have this group of dedicated educators working for our students. I am blessed to be starting year 43 in education and working with such a great group of people in a great school district. As always, Cougar Proud! Let's have a great year!
Dr. Larry Geist, Superintendent

The award goes to students who have completed requirements in the areas of classroom instruction, supervised agricultural experience, and FFA. They have demonstrated excellence in agricultural knowledge, career readiness, and leadership development. Centre Students: Jenna Bittle, Leah Brunner, Karsen Kroupa, Jenaya Plett, Emilee Remmers, Isabel Rzhia, Allie Stuchlik, and Payton Svitak all received the awards. Centre is very proud of the fact that 8 of the 25 students recognized for this outstanding achievement are from our FFA group! What an outstanding achievement.
