The Centre FFA Agronomy Team was announced as a Silver Division Team at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis today. and the individual results included:
Payton Svitak: Silver Division Individual
Emilee Remmers: Silver Division Individual
Karsen Kroupa: Gold Division Individual
Allie Stuchlik: Gold Division Individual
Allie also scored high enough on the CCA Apprenticeship Exam that she has received that certification and is eligible to finish the program for her license!
Congratulations to all 4 of these members!!! We are so proud of them! They represented our chapter extremely well!!! Way to go Cougars!

The fall awards banquet has been rescheduled to take place on Monday, November 6 at 6:30 pm.

CENTRE ELEMENTARY HALLOWEEN COSTUME GUIDELINES
Students at Centre Elementary School are permitted to dress for Halloween. The dress-up day will be Tuesday, October 31st. Dressing up is optional for students. Students should be made aware of the following guidelines. Jr/Sr High students are not allowed to wear costumes.
1. Students can bring their costumes to change into before the Trunk or Treat. Please no extravagant costumes that will take too long to get them into.
2. Also, do not wear cleats or spikes as they may damage floors and become slipping hazards.
3. No weapons, or look-alike weapons, are allowed at any time. No spikes, chains or ropes may be brought to school. Failure to follow this rule may result in disciplinary consequences.
4. Make-up, hair dye, sunglasses and hats are permitted as long as they are not dangerous or disruptive.
5. No clothing that depicts drugs, alcohol or their usage.
6. All major makeup, hair, and accessories must be done at home.
7. Costumes should not be too gory or scary. (Remember we have very small children in the building)
8. Building administration has the right to require students to change their apparel if it is deemed that the costume is not appropriate for school. If a change of clothing is not available, students will be required to put on clothes provided from the school if they are unable obtain a change of clothing.

This is a major rule change this year in Jr/Sr High Basketball so be kind to the people at the scorer's table!


Congratulations to Kaitlynn Bina who placed 11th at 1A State Cross Country with a time of 20:34 in Wamego today. Way to go Kaitlynn and Coach Jacobson!




Congratulations to the Centre high School football team on their 1st round win tonight over Southern Cloud 58-13. The Cougars advance on to the second round of playoffs next Friday when they travel to Cunningham. Time for the game has not been established yet so be looking for start time early next week. Great job players and coaches.

Congratulations to Katie Bina for placing 4th at the 1A Regional and punching her ticket to the State Cross County meet in Wamego this Saturday. Katie is coached by Emma Jacobson.. Good Luck at State Katie!
