Sports Physicals for the 5th graders will be on Monday, May 24th. We will be taking the students to the clinic in Hillsboro. We plan to leave the building at 12:30 and return in time to ride the buses home. If you wish to have your child get a sports physical, please send back the completed form and cash/check for $10.00 by next week.
This is just a reminder that Sports Physical forms were handed out to students in grades 5 thru 11. If your child wishes to participate in sports next year and you would like them to have their sports physical done at school on Wednesday, May 12th, please complete the form and send it back to school with $10.00 per student by tomorrow. The forms need to be completed and $10.00 in cash or check (made out to Centre) in order for your student to get their physical done here at school. We are trying to get a count on how many students to prepare for.
You may also use your own provider for sports physicals. This option of doing them at school this year is just a convenience for you.
All sports physicals, concussion forms, and consent to treat forms must be filed in the school office before students can begin sports practice this coming August.

Centre School's Artful Eye Show is this Friday, May 7th , at 7:00 in the north gym. Students should arrive at 6:30. Please come check out the creativity of our students as they display their pieces of artwork from the year.
Sports physical forms are being handed today to all of next year's Jr. High and High School students. Centre will be holding a sports physical clinic here at school on May 12th. The cost is $10.00 per student, with the checks being made out to Centre School. Please have the forms completed (do not unstaple packets, as all need to be signed and returned) and the $10.00 fee turned into the school NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, MAY 7th so that we can plan for how many students will attend. Again...please send sports physical packets and $10.00 per student for those that plan on getting sports physicals on May 12th here at school. Sports Physicals and all accompanying forms must be filed in the office before students can practice sports next year.

Wednesday, May 5th will be an early release day at Centre School. Students will get out of school at 1:00 PM. This is scheduled for staff development.
Today the Centre students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades will be bringing home your invitation to THE ARTFUL EYE SHOW, which is a week from today! The event on May 7th will showcase your child's art throughout the year. Students should arrive on May 7th at 6:30 PM.
CHS hosting golf tournament fundraiser!
Prom will be this Saturday, April 24th, at the Lincolnville Community Building. Promenade will begin at 5:00 PM. Students participating in promenade will enter on Main Street, turn on Newton Street, and then turn right on 6th Street. Family and friends are more than welcome to come watch!
After your attendee goes through the lane, the valets or parents will drive their vehicle to the school. After the dance, the attendees will be shuttled to the school, where they will change clothes for After Prom. Boys with a tux need to give them to Jennifer Hett. Then the attendees will attend After Prom, which is located in Salina.
Individual and classroom school pictures were handed out today to Preschool thru 12th grades. Please check your child's backpack for pictures.
Due to inclement weather, school is canceled today for Centre.

The Artful Eye Show is happening on Friday, May 7th at 7:00 PM in the north gymnasium at Centre School. Parents of students in grades 3, 4, and 5 should expect to receive a personal invitation soon. Please mark this down on your calendars, as it is always exciting to see what Pat and Jess help our students to create!
The track meet scheduled for Tuesday 04/20/2022 has been rescheduled for tomorrow, 04/19/2021, at Halstead due to weather.

If you are not interested in your child receiving the vaccine, you do not need to complete the survey. Yesterday Elias Jirak competed in a varsity golf meet at the Salina Municipal Golf Course. He placed 17th with a score of 91. Good job Elias!

Centre Elementary Record Breaking day and Field Day will be on May 19th.
Record Breaking Day is for the 4th and 5th graders. It will begin at 12:30 PM.
Field Day is for Preschool thru 3rd grade. It will begin at 1:00 PM.
Each senior needs to bring in one of their senior pictures for the senior panel in the commons area. Please bring to Mrs. Bina in the office no later than May 3rd.

Yesterday the JV boys golf team participated in a scramble at Herington. Sam Woods and Matt Basore combined for a score of 52, good for 4th place!
